Is it its ability to bond, seal, fill and repair at high speed in demanding industrial environments, or the fact that by adding successive layers of the substance it can be moulded into a 3D surface? Of all we are sure is the potential of this liquid plastic to fill those of you who spend many of your days fastening with surprise, excitement and awe.
The other key player in the Proformic story is UV light. The unique properties of the resin are triggered by the UV light source, which is available as a module which can be fitted to the opposite end of the Proformic application pen. After applying the plastic, simply turn the pen over, hold it close to the affected area and squeeze the UV module to apply the light. Then repeat the process as many times as required to create the seal, bond or filling you need.
Launched in Europe last year, Proformic quickly impressed audiences at trade shows and seminars. Whether it is the speed at which it cures, the ease with which it can be manipulated or the strength it possesses, Proformic delivers where other sealants fail. The resin dries to a light yellow and can be sanded, milled, polished and painted after curing.
Proformic is now available at Rapid.

Here it is used to make a substitute material and effectively create a three dimensional surface:
Or form a super-tight seal around copper piping:
Or repair an aircraft cable in order to pull a vehicle weighing 2.5 tons.
